The Harwood Museum of Art is excited to celebrate the 94th Academy Awards by offering screenings of the Short Film nominees. Over three days, you can view all the films from the Animation, Live Action, and Documentary categories prior to Oscar night. PLEASE pay special attention to the ratings. These films are for adults only. 

Documentary Short Subject Nominees:
“Audible” – Matt Ogens and Geoff McLean, USA, 39 min.
“When We Were Bullies” – Jay Rosenblatt, USA/Germany, 36 min.
“Three Songs for Benazir” – Elizabeth Mirzaei and Gulistan Mirzaei, Afghanistan, 22 min.
“Lead Me Home” – Pedro Kos and Jon Shenk, USA, 39 min.
“The Queen of Basketball” – Ben Proudfoot, USA, 22 min. 

Total Run Time: 160 minutes + 15-minute intermission
Rating equivalent of PG-13 or R for adult themes and topics. 

The short films featured in the Documentary category reflect a range of topics and perspectives. “Audible” depicts the journey of a deaf high school football team. “Lead Me Home” takes a deep look into the housing crisis in three U.S. cities. The afternoon will also include shorts which chronicle the lives of an Afghani refugee, a rising woman basketball player, and a director who faces a childhood bullying incident.
