–”Lovely spacious museum featuring some older pieces along with fabulous contemporary art. The Santo Lowride exhibit was fantastic! The ethereal beauty of Maja Ruznic’s In The Sliver of The Sun is not to be missed.”

“Beautiful collection and always fabulous rotating exhibits.”

“Fabulous! I love smaller museums that can be seen in a few hours, and this is so wonderfully diverse, and Taos-centric. There’s a great mix of old and new, and the building is somewhat labyrinthine, so you find yourself exploring all these great little rooms and varied exhibits. Make sure to check out the gift shop at the end; I got a wonderful signed lithograph which I’m having framed right now. I’ll add a photo when I get it back”

“One of our favorite art museums in the southwest. Consistently excellent curation, wonderful permanent and temporary exhibitions, always helpful staff, and a beautifully maintained facility. A real treasure and well worth a visit for art lovers.”

“Good things come in small packages. A thoughtfully curated permanent collection, augmented by rotating exhibits of local artisans. Easily walkable.”
–Michael Ellison

“I felt so happy when I walked into [Santo Lowride] at the Harwood Museum. It featured my gentes art. It brought in theart that surrounds the community, that surrounds the museum, and that is often ignored. Not only was it a beautiful exhibit, but it involved the community with deep seeded roots in New Mexico.”
–Carmen Medrano
