The Harwood Museum of Art is excited to celebrate the 94th Academy Awards by offering screenings of the Short Film nominees. Over three days, you can view all the films from the Animation, Live Action, and Documentary categories prior to Oscar night. PLEASE pay special attention to the ratings. These films are for adults only. 

Animated Short Film Nominees:
“Robin Robin” – Dan Ojari and Mikey Please, UK, 32 min.
“Boxballet” – Anton Dyakov, Russia, 15 min.
“Affairs of the Art” – Joanna Quinn and Les Mills, UK/Canada, 16 min.
“Bestia” – Hugo Covarrubias and Tevo Díaz, Chile, 15 min.
“The Windshield Wiper” – Alberto Mielgo and Leo Sanchez, USA/Spain, 14 min.

Total Run Time: 97 minutes
Rating equivalent of R. No children should be admitted under any circumstances. 

The shorts in the Animation category explore a range of adult subjects through a diverse range of animation styles. The artist narrator in “Affaires of the Art” investigates his odd sister’s fascination with insects, taxidermy, and death. Chile’s “Bestia” is a stark portrayal of Pinochet’s top woman police official and her disturbing life. In the “Windshield Wiper” a café guest contemplates the many facets of love in the contemporary world. The evening will also include “Box Ballet” and ‘Robin, Robin,” two inventive films that promise to surprise and engage viewers.
