Driven: 'Outriders' Artist Panel & Reception

The Harwood’s latest exhibition, Outriders: Legacy of the Black Cowboy, features historic photographs paired with contemporary art responses demonstrating Black individuals’ embodiment of the cowboy icon. Join us for a conversation among exhibiting artists about the creative process, representations of cowfolk in popular culture, and the complexity of cowboys in the American imagination.

Exhibition Committee member and artist, Nikesha Breeze, will moderate this distinguished panel of artists whose work is featured in Outriders including: Praise Fuller, Ivan McClellan, Ron Tarver, and Nate Young.  

A reception following the panel will provide the opportunity to celebrate the artists and mingle with members of the community. Food and drinks provided.
