Harwood Members are invited to preview Debbie Long: Light Ships featuring a gallery talk by the artist and Nicole Dial-Kay, Curator of Exhibitions and Collections.
Long’s installations connect viewers to the rhythms of light and shadow, and to the expanding cycles of nature. This event includes first-come, first-served 15-minute “glimpses” of Willa, a 1970’s recreational vehicle that has been fashioned with organic glass castings that act as portals to the natural world beyond.
The opening “glimpses” offer a taste of the experience during the daily immersive viewings of Willa. Additionally, special, two-hour sunset viewings with Debbie Long will be offered monthly throughout the exhibition.
