**Due to unforeseen circumstances, the Outriders Artist Panel and Reception scheduled for Saturday, October 29 has been postponed. We look forward to seeing you at the Opening Celebration on Friday, October 28 from 5–8pm to honor the Harwood’s two new exhibitions, William Herbert “Buck” Dunton: A Mainer Goes West and Outriders: Legacy of the Black Cowboy.**

The Harwood’s latest exhibition, Outriders: Legacy of the Black Cowboy, features historic photographs paired with contemporary art responses demonstrating Black individuals’ embodiment of the cowboy icon. Join us for a conversation among exhibiting artists about the creative process and the complexity of cowboys in the American imagination. Exhibition Committee member and artist, Nikesha Breeze, will moderate this distinguished panel of artists whose work is featured in Outriders including: Kennedi Carter, Ron Tarver, and Nate Young

A closed reception will follow the panel. Separate tickets are required for the reception.

Funding for this program is generously provided by New Mexico Arts, a division of the Department of Cultural Affairs, and by the National Endowment for the Arts.
