Series of special events planned for December 9, 10, 11, 2010

Festivities will culminate with public ribbon-cutting on December 11,

Call for Entry: New Mexorado, Artists Living & Working in the Albuquerque-Denver Corridor

The Harwood Museum of Art encourages both emerging artists and artists with established reputations residing within the boundaries of NEW MEXORADO (1-70 in Denver to I-40 in Albuquerque) to participate in the exhibition New Mexorado:  Artists Living & Working in the Albuquerque-Denver Corridor.  Work may include paintings, drawings, prints, photographs, video installation, sculpture, glass, multi-media, and virtual presentations. The exhibition will be held March 5 - June 19, 2011. Deadline to submit is November 1, 2010. Works will be juried by Libby Lumpkin. 

New Mexorado is presented in collaboration with the 2011 Taos Shortz Film Fest.

Harwood Museum of Art Receives CAP Grant

The Harwood Museum of Art is proud to announce its acceptance into the Conservation Assessment Program.  Administered by Heritage Preservation and supported through a cooperative agreement with the Institute of Museum and Library Services, the program will provide funds with which to assess policies, practices and conditions affecting the care and preservation of the Harwood's art collections and historic building.  More information about the program is available at the Heritage Preservation web site.
