Join us for a informative and lively discussion about how the Wurlitzer Foundation has influenced the Taos Art scene. Moderated by Ariana Kramer, this roundtable will feature Wurlitzer Alumni, Allan Packer and Marcia Oliver, and Wurlitzer past director, Michael Knight, and current director, Nic Knight.

Many of us got our first taste of opera accompanied by cornflakes and Rice Krispies, as we sat in our pajamas and watched Saturday morning cartoons. The antics of Mickey Mouse, Bugs Bunny and Elmer Fudd were paired with music by Wagner, Donizetti, Rossini and Bizet, to name just a few of their victims.

As Resident Chamber Music Group of the Harwood Museum, TCMG presents music inspired by art. Jennifer Higdon’s American Canvas for flute, cello and piano has three movements titled O’Keefe, Pollock and Wyeth. Bruce Wolosoff’s The Loom for piano trio is based on Eric Fischl’s watercolors, and Glen Roven’s work for violin and piano is called Three Paintings by Agnes Martin.
