The Harwood Museum of Art has an extensive archive of material related to the art of Taos.  The archive includes information on artists in the Harwood Museum's collection as well as articles related to exhibitions. The archive features over 17,000  photographic prints and negatives created by Museum founder Burt Harwood as well as materials related to significant Taos artists, galleries and art organizations. Visitors and researchers wishing to schedule a visit to the Harwood's archives may make an appointment with the museum's Coordinator of Collections Management. The Harwood Museum also has material available for researchers at the Southwest Research Center of Northern New Mexico. The SWRC is a combined collection of books, research materials and ephemeral from the Taos Historic Museums, the Millicent Rogers Museum and the Harwood Museum. This non-lending library is located on UNM-Taos Campus and is open to the public for research. In addition, through an IMLS grant the collections of the SWRC are catalogued in the LIBROS system. Click Here for more information on the Southwest Research Center.
